Why Automate…automate…automate?

So what are the benefits of automating a blog? Are we back to churning out those 10,000 page ’scraper’ sites of a few years ago that offered zero value, and visitors couldn’t wait to click on an Adsense Ad to get away from them ( which was the entire point of course)?

As far as I’m concerned, even though I automate blog content, my blogs offer visitors a good user experience and are relevant to their search and, at the same time, give me good SEO linkage/love…

So what are we playing at here with our Automated Content?

Well it’s up to you if you want to Automate content to a blog, set it and forget it, to get some Adsense or Affiliate product revenue. That’s your choice and I respect it but personally I want to get good quality back links to the sites that earn me more than .25 cents a day.

Making that choice means that I don’t feature any 3rd party advertising on my automated blogs as I believe/hope that this means that they’ll get taken more seriously by the Search Engines – even if they are seen to be offering some duplicate content, well it ain’t monetized right? So the back links that these sites are sending me should hold more weight.

Am I giving those S.E.bots too much respect? Too much? No! Respect? YES! If you seriously think that all those stupid linking strategies of yesteryear are not TRANSPARENT to the Search Engine algorithms these days then you are living in the nineties, why not just keyword stuff a page with text cunningly disguised by being of the same color of the backgound color of the page?

That’s meant as an ironic joke, by the way, for the more literal of you.

  1. Personally I think the paid for automation is for those of us with loads of blogs and little time. For somebody with 1 or 2 blogs the ’scheduled posts’ option in W.P. is more than sufficient. Why complicate it?

  2. I agree with automating. I recently found a cool tool for about the same kind of money as caffeinated content but more automation. http://wpanswers.net/?e=auto-content
