Why would you want access to MY blog?

If like me you are sitting on some old domains that you have ignored for a while and that are not bringing in some income then you need to be talking to others in the same position and this blog is where you can do just that.

In days gone by I would have set up those domains with a bunch of automated content and have them all pointing to my main money site for some sweet search engine link juice. But those days are gone because search engines recognize that all those domains live in the same house ( for house read my hosting company and the shared servers that my sites sit on)…

Yep, those smart algorithms have found me out – they can see that I am just promoting myself and as we all know ‘ self praise is no praise’. This is why Web 2.0 marketing has become so popular over the last 18 months as, when you create a Squidoo lens or a Zimbio site, ( to name just two of hundreds/thousands of sites) those pages sit on different IP addresses and servers – they are not hosted by MY hosting company so the search engines pay more attention to incoming links from them. This is GOOD!

But how long until those clever search bots start to NOT give so much credence to those web 2.0 properrties pointing to you?

Let’s face it if internet marketers are using them for self promotion then it’s only a matter of time until Google etc. give those links to your main site less importance when they rank your pages than the do now. That will be BAD!

This is were those ‘dead’ domains of ours come into play.

If I give you full access to my self-hosted Wordpress blog and giving you permission to do whatever you want with it how will that benefit you?

Let me count the ways…

.Firstly it’s a real self-hosted web site and sits on MY hosting company’s server and not yours. It’s not part of a giant Web 2.0 site like Squidoo or Blogger.com etc.

Consequently any links from it to your money site are seen as coming from an independent source, better still they are one way links. The Engines know that because they can ’see’ the C-Panel IP address of my blog is totally different from the IP address of your money site.

You can use various WP-plugins ( paid and free) for automatic posting, automated Social Bookmarking, and auto-link rotating ( more info on and those techniques will be covered later) because you are not interested in getting this blog ranked well necessarily, you just want it to improve the ranking of your main site(s).

So what would I want in return? Why access to one of your hosted domains of course and, if there’s already a Wordpress blog set up on it and cool plugins are already in place then so much the better!
